Anonymous asked: could you tell me something that i could read back on whenever i feel the desire to binge or something? any advice or inspiration? thankyou x

sure! for me, it always helps to get away from what I want to binge on. If it’s in the kitchen, I run up to my room, and drink a bottle of water. I find that reading a book helps, it’s distracting, whereas watching TV makes you want to eat. Also, think about what exactly is in that doughnut, piece of cake, or bowl of pasta. Write down the calories, and then calculate how many minutes of exercise you’d have to do to work it off. If you have really bad cravings it helps to find a healthy, low-calorie subsitute, for example: you’re craving a doughnut, so you eat smth else sweet, like an apple. You save about 150 calories. Or if you really want something, allow yourself to have a tiny piece. Cut a tiny bite of cake and put the rest back in the fridge so you can’t have more, then savour every second eating that tiny sliver. Chances are, it doesn’t taste as good as you looked or you feel guilty more quickly if you eat more slowly. And last but not least, if you do end up binging, don’t be too hard on yourself about it, just think of how you can avoid it happening again. That way, the next time you have an urge to binge, you can think back to that feeling! Exercise and burn off some of the calories if you can, so you can feel proud about working off calories rather than feel ashamed about taking them in. I hope it helped :) good luck <3
